I bet you’re waiting for a joke, but I have a serious answer.
The philosophies governing ROBLOX and Minecraft are fundamentally different.
ROBLOX culture is that of consumerism, of taking what others have created and enjoying it for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with that sort of thing in moderation, of course, but most ROBLOX players are strictly players and don’t go on to create anything. Ultimately they just feed money back into the ROBLOX Company.
Minecraft, on the other hand, is a game that without the creation aspect, would be as critically panned as ‘walking simulators’ like Proteus. But because of that aspect of placing, of creating, from the very first Minecraft players, people have been building. Because, without it, there’s nothing to do in Minecraft, at least not for that long.
Anyways, ROBLOX is capitalist culture and Minecraft is not, in this essay I will
